Ingredients:
- 4 eggs.
- 1 medium sized red/white onion thinly sliced or roughly chopped.
- 1-1/2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar.
- 2 tablespoons of grated cheese/sliced cheese of your choice.
- 1-1/2 tablespoons of olive oil/2 cubes of butter.
- Salt to taste.
- Black pepper powder to taste.
Note: You may increase or decrease the quantity of ingredients depending on your taste and for how many people you are making for.
Method of Making Balsamic Onion Omelette:
- Take a pan and turn on the flame.
- When pan is hot, add 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil/1 cube of butter.
- When oil is hot, add sliced onions and saute on a medium flame until its translucent or soft.
- Add balsamic vinegar and salt to taste and toss them well.
- Turn off the flame and transfer the cooked onions onto a plate and keep aside.
- Take a mixing bowl and break in the eggs (if you want, you can discard the egg yolks).
- Add salt to taste and black pepper powder to taste and whisk them well.
- Take a pan and turn on the flame.
- When pan is hot, add 1 tablespoons of olive oil/1 cube of butter.
- When oil hot, pour the whisked egg into the pan and make a omelette on a low to medium flame, it will take at least 5-7 minutes.
- When omelette is well cooked, arranged the the cooked onions and cheese and then fold the omelette into a half-moon.
- Serve this omelette hot at breakfast, lunch or at dinner.
